Q&A

Q: What is the smallest number of books you publish?

    Twenty-five.

Q: Can you print more than that?

Indeed, yes, as many as you want:  25 million or more – no limit, actually.  But the truth is, most people who write books are not aiming for huge worldwide fame, although who wouldn’t enjoy the success of another Harry Potter series?  But most authors just want to publish their books and have them handy for friends, hold public readings or autograph parties locally, give interviews in local newspapers or television stations as a local author, or distribute to colleagues for particular occasions or events.

Q: Do you copyright the books you publish?

Yes. The author retains all rights to the book and its contents. Not only that, but we provide an ISBN number as well as a bar code, which is the equivalent of a “social security number” for your book so that the book can enjoy sales at retail outlets, to libraries, or on the Internet.

Q: Do you provide Internet sales of my book?

We list your book on Bowker, Bookscape and Google, and we provide a web page on Google to promote your book for sales. But we don’t guarantee sales and neither can any other publisher. We absolutely will not promise you “pie-in-the-sky” numbers of sales of your book, because we can’t guarantee such.

Q: Will I know up-front the costs involved for me, so that there are no “surprises”?

We wouldn’t have it any other way. We won’t proceed until we provide you with specific figures involved with the publication of your book.  We are not in this business of book publishing to mislead authors or waste your time or ours dealing in dishonesty.

Q: How does your “reverse royalty” cost system work?

First, there are necessary start-up costs for designing, editing, copyrighting and printing a book. We ask you to help defray those costs with a modest start-up fee, which we will specify up front.  We then ship you the number of books you estimate you want (usually 25 to 100 or more), and you agree to remit to us a percentage of sales you enjoy over a specific time period (usually 90 days, extended to six months if needed).  It’s that simple. If you have books left over after six months, return them to us at no further cost to you. Please review the sample cases elsewhere on this web page for more specific examples.

Q: Do you accept credit card payments?

Yes, including VISA, MasterCard, and Discovery through PayPal.
